We are a manufacturer and supplier of cooling tower nozzles. A spray tower or spray column or spray chamber is gas liquid contactor used to achieve mass and heat transfer between a continuous gas phase that can contain dispersed solid particles and a dispersed liquid phase. It consists of an empty cylindrical vessel made of steel or plastic and nozzles that spray liquid into the vessel. The water is cooled by contact with cooler ambient air either in conventional cooling towers or in spray ponds.

Consider the cooling tower on top of a typical office type building. Thus a significant proportion of the condensed vapour is evaporated in the cooling system. Most of the cooling occurs by evaporation and only a small proportion is by sensible heat transfer. The inlet gas stream usually enters at the bottom of the tower.

The entire system is housed inside a box shaped structure which also accommodates spray headers spray nozzles and louvers. The louvers usually made of steel are placed on the sides to enhance natural circulation of air inside the cooling tower. The chiller adds heat to the condenser water and the cooling tower cools it down by rejecting this into the atmosphere.

A centrifugal pump moves water known as condenser water between the chiller in the basement and the cooling tower on the roof.
